Hello Newcastle... sweet treats, hipsters and sunshine!

I love Newcastle and it feels like home whenever I am there.  It is a strange feeling, however I put it down to genetics as my family has origins in the area dating back to colonial times. The ocean air, the street art and the lifestyle it really has it all…My family recently had a little day trip.

Hello Naomi can now be officially checked off the bucket list! I have been following Hello Naomi for about 2 years on Instagram and every few days I see her amazing sweet treats and cakes! Naomi's work is very inspirational and I enjoy her aesthetic.  Her simple and cute style is something I aspire for in my own creative baking. What an amazing place, the simplicity of the interior and the home made flavours made this a truly exceptional experience! With Lauren's 7th Birthday on the horizon it was good reminder that simplicity is the key when styling.  You can visit Hello Naomi here: http://hello-naomi.blogspot.com.au.

Next stop was the Hunt and Gather markets in Newcastle East.  What a treasure trove of beautiful craft, art and handmade food delights!  If you are looking for a market with that old school flavour then this is the market for you!  Find out more here: http://www.huntandgathermarkets.com.au

We hit another Instagram favourite - 'Doughheads' for some amazing handmade unique dough nuts.  They did not disappoint, I had the maple glaze and candied bacon doughnut, amazing!  Follow them here: https://instagram.com/doughheadsnewy/?hl=en

Our final stop was the Merewether ocean baths.  A trip to Newcastle would not be complete without a dip in the water, topped off with some golden sunshine!
I can’t wait for our next visit!

Big love xx
